Our Background
Entrepreneurs Community Solutions and Innovative Development (ECOSID), is a youth led Non-governmental organization that exists to create a community where marginalized communities are self-reliant in achieving vibrant health and economic stability.
ECOSID was founded in 2018 by a group of young people in Malawi who mobilized themselves and called “Entrepreneurs” to encounter socioeconomic challenges affecting communities in Malawi. We exist to catalyze action supporting locally led initiatives for positive change. We mobilize and connect people and groups that should be working together. We work through networks, partnerships, and collaborations, never on our own.
With close to a decade worth of experience, we aim to empower lives and create thriving communities, by implementing projects in health justice, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and education, focusing on equipping these groups with the knowledge, skills and resources they need to sustain themselves.
We also engage in various social enterprises to bridge the gap in quality production, and ensure the sustainability of our initiatives, allowing us to create long lasting impact.
